FAKE Information
One of the most disturbing elements in Social Media is Fake News. It diverts us from reality. Nowadays it is very difficult to decide which information is real and which is fake as both bring logical point of view. Because logical statement does not mean that information is correct.
Some news play with our emotion and consists of offensive and inflammatory Hate Speech. They are presented in such a way that when we read them, we easily get influenced from it. And then, we starting sharing the news with our family and friends.
Hacking
With your minor negligence, hackers can easy hack and share your personal data and privacy on Internet. Which can be too dangerous for our privacy. Hackers have hacked several personal twitter and Facebook accounts in the past and these hackers misuse our data . This is one of the dangerous disadvantages of the social media.
Violence
Social sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are responsible for spreading hundreds of millions of messages and posts everyday . And some of the messages are offensive for people. When people share this type of message violence begins.

This message make everyone shame on being an Indian. People spread this message like epidemic on social media and it became a big violence.
Wastage of time, energy, and money
Using too much of these social media sites invites wastage of time, energy and money. Spending limited time on these sites to get in touch with what is happening around us is one thing and spending hours and getting trapped by them, is altogether a different thing!
Cheating and Relationship Issues
Most of the people have used social media platform to propose and marry each other. However, after some time they turn to be wrong in their decision and part ways. Similarly, couples have cheated each other by showing the fake feelings and incorrect information
Social Media causes death
Not just by using it, but by following the stunts and other crazy stuff that are shared on the internet. For example bikers doing the unnecessary stunts, people doing the jump over the trains and other dangerous stunts stuff.

For example in this video a 14 year old from Mumbai was doing stunts on a running train which caused his death. To get more likes, views and shares on social media teenagers perform all such thrilling and deadly stunts without worrying about anything.
IMPACT ON TEENAGER
One of the main disadvantages of social networking for teenagers is the distraction in daily life. The majority of teenagers spend several hours a day checking updates. And this could cause distraction from our aim of life. I know this very well because I am a teenager and I face this issue daily.
In summary
Like any other thing such as technology, solution, invention social media also have both brighter and darker sites. On one side social media brings lots of opportunities but at the same time they get used for many bad impacts that are shown already on the paragraph our Parental Control features need to be active on these social media sites so that younger children will be protected from such online harms. In short social media sites are not bad it’s up to us users to make it boom or bane.
