MURUDESHWAR
Murudeshwar is a town located in the state of Karnataka. It is renowned for being the world’s second-tallest Shiva statue. The town is situated in Uttara Kannada, and it lies on the coast of the Laccadive Sea. The famous Murudeshwara Temple is located here.
The temple is built on a hillock overlooking the Arabian Sea. The 37 m high Shiva statue is built in the temple complex. This gigantic
statue can be seen from across the sea, glistering against the blue sky. This temple bears Chalukya and Kadamba sculptures and the architecture is of Dravidian style.
To reach Murudeshwar, buses, and trains are available.

BHAGAVATHY AMMAN TEMPLE, TAMIL NADU
South India is well known for its temples which hold the testimony time and displays a rich heritage and culture. Among many, nestled in the resplendent sea stands the glorious Bhagavathy Amman Temple, an age-old temple of over 3000 years.
Devi Kanyakumari, who is considered as the Virgin goddess is worshiped here along with Lord Ganesha, Lord Ayyappa, Goddess Bala Sundari, and Vijaya Sundari.
The temple along with its scenic beauty attracts innumerable tourists every year. The exquisite architecture along with the tranquility of the sea and its beauty can make anyone feel divine and get soaked in the heavenly beauty .

MAHALAXMI TEMPLE, MUMBAI
Mahalaxmi temple is a 18th century temple and has become a flagship temple in Mumbai. The temple is a place of marvelous beauty. The temple protrudes over the sea and the waves of the sea are constantly hitting the base of the temple, made of rocks.
The sound of the waves, the peaceful ambience and the beauty of the temple makes it an attractive tourist spot. The peak time to visit is during Diwali. It is during Diwali, the actual Laxmi Pooja takes place.
Shore Temple Mahabalipuram
The beautiful Shore Temple is in Mahabalipuram, overlooking the Bay Of Bengal. The Shore Temple is placed upon a naturally occurring granite boulder. It is a rock-cut as well as a free-standing structural temple. The complex has three shrines: two for Lord Shiva and one for Lord Vishnu.
The temple architecture is an amalgamation of Dravidian and Pallava styles of architecture. It was built by Narasimhavarman II.
The Shore Temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage site, known as a group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram.

Ganpatipule Temple
Ganpatipule Mandir is in the city of Ganpatipule. It is a coastal town in Maharashtra. The city got its name from the famous Ganesh Temple. The city also has beautiful sea beaches. The temple is unique because the Ganapati idol faces the West direction.
The Ganpatipule Temple is a beautiful place to visit. A peaceful atmosphere with the pristine Arabian Sea adds more to its charm.
Ganpatipule can be reached by train, bus or car. The nearest station to Ganpatipule is the Ratnagiri station.
Harihareshwar Beach Temple
Harihareshwar Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the holy river Savitri has its origin at Mahabaleshwar and finally falls in the Arabian Sea at Harihareshwar. Harihareshwar temple is considered the ‘ Kashi of the South’. It is also called Devghar or House of Gods.
The linga is in the ancient temple.
Harihareshwar also has many other splendid temples and beaches to visit. Altogether, it makes it an attractive tourist spot, attracting thousands of tourists every year.
Harihareshwar can be accessed by train. Nearest Railway station is Aurangabad. Taxi service is also available from Verul.
RAMANATHASWAMY TEMPLE, TAMIL NADU
Ramanathaswamy is a Hindu Temple, located on Rameswaram island in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is at the confluence of the Bay of Bengal and the Gulf of Mannar Sea. Among the twelve Jyotirlinga temples, it is one of them.
The temple is an architectural excellence, with magnificent towers, exclusive sculpture, long corridors and beautiful structures, aesthetically designed pillars and a 38-metre Gopuram.
This place holds mythological history as well. It is believed that Lord Rama was held back in this place by his brother Laxman and Hanuman with his band of monkeys after winning the battle over Ravana. Lord Rama blessed this place by worshipping the Lord Shiva.
Ramanathaswamy temple can be visited by train, by air and also by road.
JAGANNATH TEMPLE, ODISHA
Located on the banks of the Bay Of Bengal. It is considered to be the most sacred place among the Hindus. It is also one of the oldest Hindu temples with a sacred shrine.
The temple also showcases the impressive works and structures constructed in the Kalinga architecture.
Jagannath Temple is visited by thousands of devotees every day. During the time of Rath, the number increased significantly.
AZHIMALA SHIV TEMPLE
Azhimala Siva Temple is in Kerala, in a small hamlet of Azhimala in Vizhinjam. Kerala which is claimed as God’s own country has the charm of its own. The temple is perched on a cliff facing the sea. The place is endowed with divinity along with the picturesque beauty of nature, the blue sea and the greenery surrounding it.
The statue of Lord Shiva is 58 ft tall and made of concrete. It is an attractive tourist spot as well.
These are some of the holy places situated on beaches. Although a large number of places exist, these places attract tourists because of their charm and magnificence.
